Ontario Student Nutrition Program

At Gregory Drive Public School, we recognize that proper nutrition plays a vital role in student learning, focus, and overall well-being. We are proud to support our students through a comprehensive nutrition program that ensures everyone has access to healthy food throughout the school day.

Through funding provided by the Ontario Student Nutrition Program (OSNP), each classroom receives a daily snack bin filled with nutritious options from a variety of food groups. These snacks are thoughtfully selected to promote healthy eating habits and provide the energy students need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Our goal is to ensure that no student goes hungry. If a student requires more than what is available in their classroom snack bin, they are always encouraged to speak with a staff member for additional items. We are committed to providing discreet, supportive access to food so that every child feels cared for and ready to succeed.

In addition, Gregory Drive offers our “Grizzly Gatherings” program each morning prior to the start of the school day. This program is designed to provide smooth transition support into the school day, opportunities for increased socialization, and a nutritious breakfast for students who may benefit from it. Families interested in learning more about Grizzly Gatherings are encouraged to reach out to the school for additional information

At Gregory Drive, we believe that nourishing students is an important part of nurturing their success.
