OSNP Snack Program: Grand Bend Public School
At Grand Bend Public School, we are proud to partner with the Ontario Student Nutrition Program (OSNP) to provide a daily, nutritious snack for all students. Our snack program is designed to support student well‑being by ensuring every child has access to healthy food choices that support learning, focus, and overall success at school.
Each morning, snack bins are delivered to every classroom, ensuring students start their day with accessible, healthy options. Students receive a fresh, wholesome snack that may include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and dairy or protein choices. All items are selected to align with OSNP nutrition guidelines and to encourage students to explore a variety of nutritious foods.
In addition to classroom snack bins, we also provide snack carts in the hallways, which students can access during their nutrition breaks. This ensures that every learner has multiple opportunities throughout the day to grab a healthy snack when they need it.
We are fortunate to have a wonderful team of dedicated staff members who spearhead the snack ordering, preparation, and distribution. Their organization, care, and commitment ensure the program runs safely, efficiently, and inclusively so that all students can participate.
This program plays an important role in creating a positive school environment where students feel supported and ready to learn. We are grateful for OSNP’s continued partnership and for the community support that makes this program possible at Grand Bend Public School.
