This website and the Reopening and Operating Our Schools document are archived as of March 21, 2022.
Please note: Hand hygiene, cleaning protocols and ventilation measures, including the HEPA units current in use in occupied spaces, remain in place to support the maintenance of clean and safe school environments. Effective March 21, 2022, students, staff and visitors are no longer required to wear masks while on school board property or on student transportation, unless directed by the COVID-19 daily school screening tool or
provincial or federal guidelines. Elementary and secondary students are no longer required to adhere to cohort requirements, nor are students required to physically distance.
Staff and administrators will continue to promote the safe operation of schools in alignment with the current public health directions. If you have any questions about the current health and safety protocols, please contact your child's school.
The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) is looking forward to welcoming students for a safe 2021-2022 school year.
LKDSB elementary and secondary schools will reopen in September with a return to full-time, in-class learning with required COVID-19 safety measures. The LKDSB's plan for the return to school in September will provide a safe launch to the upcoming school year and reduce the opportunities for transmission of COVID-19. The plans incorporate the most current information from the Ontario Ministry of Education, Public Health, consultation with LKDSB educators and education workers, and our communities.
