With the new crosswalk, there is a need to adjust to crossing nearly unassisted. It is recommended that all students that use the crosswalk do so safely and do not act recklessly when crossing the crosswalk. Please make sure that before crossing the crosswalk that the lights are indeed blinking, all pedestrians are a safe distance from the street and all approaching vehicles have stopped. Failure to do so may result in severe injury to students crossing the crosswalk. To aid in the memorization of these procedures a system has been devised called Push, Look, Cross;

Push the button and step back from the street.

Look both ways to make sure that all incoming vehicles have stopped completely.

Cross the road once it is safe to do so and do not run. 

We hope that further use of this crosswalk is safe and orderly.
