Update on College Labour Disruption - Nov. 20, 2017

November 20, 2017

On November 19, the Ontario Government passed back to work legislation that required the legal strike by Ontario College Faculty (as represented by OPSEU) to be terminated through binding mediation-arbitration.

Dual Credit and SWAC Programs
All SWAC classes will resume at the respective colleges on Tuesday, November 21 and Dual Credit Programs for secondary students will resume on Thursday, November 23. Students will receive more detailed communication from their SWAC teachers and Dual Credit Support Teachers. Our partners at Lambton College and St. Clair College are working diligently to ensure that student achievement is not negatively impacted by the recent job action.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Janice Wranich, Special Projects Teacher, Dual Credits at Janice.Wranich@lkdsb.net.

OPTIONS Program
The Options Program that has been operating at Chatham-Kent Secondary School is scheduled to return to St. Clair College on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.
