What's New?
New for you!
- PRIMARY - Grade 1 Living Things!
We've taken the old Body Basics Kit and combined the good stuff with new materials to bring you a new "Living Things" box. This kit boast FIVE big books, lots of new print materials and hands-on equipment.
- JUNIOR - Grade 6 Electricity Revised!
If you've borrowed a Gr. 6 Electricity kit in the last little bit, you know that they were looking a little sad. We've added some new hands-on equipment that should make circuit building easier and there are some new print resources in there as well! Here is a hint that may also help... Remember when you're hooking up the LED lights that only one configuration works. If you're not getting the light to come on, try hooking your leads up to the opposite terminals on the battery!

All Things Science...
It has been slow in arriving, but many of you are already planning ahead for more "spring-y" activities. Here are some local websites that may help you with information and/or programs that may fit in with what you're covering.
St. Clair Region Conservation Authority
The SCRCA has exceptional programs for educators, offered both in the classroom and as an outdoor field trip opportunity at their conservation areas. A few examples of wonderful programs include, "Spring Has Sprung", "Maple Syrup Experience", "Conservation in Crisis" and "Circle of Life", among many others. To learn more about these and other programs offered to educators, click on this link and then go to "Conservation Education" on the menu bar.
Other Conservation Authority websites links in or close to our districts;

Reptiles at Risk
This is an outreach education program which spreads important messages of reptile conservation in places where species at risk reptiles are actually found. (We have many such species living in the Lambton-Kent area.) The group has funding from different organizations to make school visits and will bring along different animals.
More information can be found at their website, www.reptilesatrisk.org and...
