Math Olympics

The Ontario Mathematics Olympiad is a fun and challenging competition which requires students to work both independently and in a group situation.   In the Spring of 2008, elementary schools across the district were invited to nominate students from grade 7 and 8 to participate in the selection process to choose a team to represent LKDSB. 
           

Our Math Olympics Team travelled to Trent University in Peterborough on May 30 & 31.  They attained a 2nd place finish!  Excellent job!

The team is pictured below.  A few pictures from OMO are also included.
