School Ambassador Program: Social Media Takeover

Are you creative, connected, and passionate about your school? The LKDSB School Ambassador Program gives secondary students the opportunity to become the voice of their school community through social media storytelling.

As a School Ambassador, you'll join the Social Media Takeover Team, working with fellow student ambassadors across LKDSB to create engaging content that highlights the people, events, and experiences that make your school unique.

What You'll Do:

  • Create photos, videos, and social media content that showcase student life.

  • Collaborate with ambassadors from across LKDSB.

  • Help tell your school's story through authentic student perspectives.

  • Contribute to content that promotes your school to future students and families.

Program Highlights:

  • Virtual Launch Event: October 15 at 12:00 p.m.

  • Virtual Check-Ins: November and February.

  • Mentorship and Media Training: Learn from communications and media professionals.

  • In-School Support: Guidance and support from LKDSB staff throughout the project.

  • Recognition: Celebrate your contributions at end-of-year recognition events.

How to Apply:

Applications are open October 1 to 9.

Complete the online application form and tell us why you'd like to represent your school as a School Ambassador.

School principals will review applications and notify selected ambassadors in mid-October.
