Capture the Spirit, Inspire the Future! 

Are you a creative, energetic, and connected LKDSB student who loves your school? The LKDSB School Ambassador Program is an exciting opportunity for current secondary students to become the official digital storytellers of their school community. We are looking for a few highly motivated student ambassadors at each secondary school to capture and showcase the vibrant student experience.. 

Ambassadors will be responsible for digitally documenting student life through photos and short video clips. The ultimate goal is for each team of ambassadors to collaborate on creating a short, engaging promotional video that highlights the unique benefits and tells the authentic student story of your school. This video will be shared directly with students and families in our feeder schools.

What is the School Ambassador Program?

As an Ambassador, you’ll be the digital eyes and ears of your school. You will be responsible for digitally documenting student life through photos and short video clips.

The ultimate goal? Your team will collaborate to create a short, engaging promotional video that tells the true story of your school. These videos will be shared directly with students and families in our feeder schools to show them exactly why your school is the place to be.

You won't be doing this alone! We are committed to providing you with the support you need to succeed: 

  • Virtual Meetings: Participate in virtual meetings to connect with other ambassadors across the district. 

    • Virtual Launch Event/Director’s Welcome: Wednesday, February 11 @ 12:00 PM 

    • Virtual Check-In: Wednesday, March 25 @ 12:00 PM 

    • Virtual Check-In: Wednesday, May 13 @ 12:00 PM 

  • In School Support: LKDSB staff will provide opportunities for mentoring, learning about media creation and support creating your video 

  • Recognition: Your hard work will be celebrated at a film festival and student dinner in June, where your videos will be showcased to families, local politicians, and district staff.
