Take Our Kids To Work Program
The next "Take Our Kids to Work Day" date
is Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
Description of the Program
Grade 9 students across Canada accompany a parent, relative or community volunteer to work for one day during the first week of November. They job shadow their sponsor to observe the workplace skills that are required at this particular business, institution or agency. This program helps Grade 9 students connect school, the world of work, and their own futures.

Students will also see the need to be critical thinkers, accepting of criticism, be able to solve problems, take calculated risks and make decisions. Finally, students will be introduced to the need for highly developed communication skills, orally, in writing and technologically. They must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
