Definition:

Provide extending opportunities beyond what a student would experience in the regular classroom allowing students to apply their interests, knowledge, creative ideas and task commitment to an area of study
Involve a breadth and depth of experiences beyond curriculum expectations
Designed as a result of input from students, staff, parents and community
Integral component of school enrichment program for students
Provide an opportunity for gifted and bright students to interact with peers who share similar interests
