& tornado, Chinook & Sirocco winds, hail & sleet, dew & frost.

2. There are many old verses and sayings concerning the weather. Research
weather lore and make an illustrated booklet of your favourites. Find out
how many of these are really reliable weather indicators and explain why. |
3. Imagine that you are a weather vane on top of a house or barn. You sit
up there through all kinds of weather. Describe what your life is like and
why. Be sure to give lots of details about the weather you experience. |

4. There are many characters associated with the
weather. Choose one from the list and create an original picture of him/her
(don’t copy one from a book) or make your weather character into a puppet.

your information is accurate. You might use one of the gods mentioned in

Not” booklet of wacky weather facts. |
7. Acid rain is a big problem in Canada. Find out how it is created, what
it does to the environment and what is being done about the problem. Are we
doing enough to remedy the problem? Support your opinion with facts. |
8. List words that “sunshine” makes you think of. What about “snow”, “fog”
or “blizzard”? |
