The status of the vacancy (i.e. permanent or long term
occasional) and applicants’ eligibility (i.e. internal, external or
both) will be specifically stated for each posting. Internal
candidates are current, permanent LKDSB teaching staff.
External candidates include applicants who are active on our
elementary and/or secondary supply lists and all other qualified
teachers from the community-at-large.

- Find qualified applicants for specialized teaching
assignments in Core French, French Immersion, Broad Based
Technology (all areas) and Native Language Studies.
- Replenish our elementary and secondary occasional teacher
lists each Spring, usually in April. New graduates and other
interested qualified teachers are encouraged to respond to this
annual posting.
Application for Supply Teaching – LKDSB Retirees

New LKDSB retirees
who are interested in supply teaching are asked to direct a
letter to the Recruitment Officer including the following
information:

Name

Phone Number
-
Interest in
Elementary or Secondary Panel

Interest in
specific geographic areas (i.e. Sarnia/Lambton or
Chatham/Kent) and/or specific schools

Current OCT
certificate of Qualification and proof of membership in good
standing with OCT (www.oct.ca)

Requests from new
LKDSB retirees will be considered when the elementary and
secondary supply lists are replenished in the Spring for the
following school year

LKDSB retirees from
previous years must apply to the annual posting to replenish the
occasional teacher lists on
www.applytoeducation.ca
