LKDSB is utilizing a fully-integrated online eProcurement tool for all of its Request for Quotes/Proposals/Tenders. This allows you to view, register and submit bids entirely online in one quick, easy and convenient location.

 

Tenders

We encourage you to purchase an unlimited annual subscription from eSolutions Group Bids & Tenders e-Procurement platform at www.bidsandtenders.ca or lkdsb.bidsandtenders.ca to enable you to respond to our Request for Quotes/Proposals/Tenders.

 

When creating an account, you will select a commodity code(s) related to your business, (i.e. plumbing, electrical, books, automotive, construction or maintenance services etc…) so that the Bidding System can notify you by email of any Bid opportunities matching your commodity code selection.

It is the policy of the Lambton Kent District School Board to procure equipment, supplies and services necessary for the operation of schools and central offices in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Contracted Services Program

 

All new inquiries should be directed to the Board’s Purchasing Department. The Purchasing Department can be reached by calling 519-336-1500.

THE PROCESS:

All contractors wishing to work for the the Lambton Kent District School Board must first complete the Contracted Services Program.

 

STEP 1 - Download our terms and conditions for contractors (pdf). These are the set of rules required to be followed by all contractors while on site. Once you have reviewed and understand the working terms for the Board you can proceed to STEP 2.

 

STEP 2 -To obtain the prequalification application contact the Purchasing Department by calling 519-336-1500. Complete the application and send it, along with a copy of your current WSIB Clearance Certificate and proof of liability insurance, to the Purchasing Department at the Lambton Kent District School Board Sarnia Education Centre. (or by regular mail to: P.O. Box 2019, 200 Wellington Street, Sarnia, Ontario N7T 7L2) Once the application form has been evaluated and your references contacted, you will receive notification as to whether or not you meet the minimum qualifications. This process may take some time. Do not proceed to STEP 3 until you have written notice from Purchasing Department.

 

STEP 3 - Complete the online Basic Safety Orientation training. Each person that will be working on Board property will be required to take this training. It is quick and easy but requires you to take a short test at the end. Once you successfully complete the test you will be able to print off a certificate of completion. The contractor must supply a list of all workers who will be working on Board property. This list must be provided on your company letterhead and signed by a company official. This list must be submitted to the Board’s Purchasing Department. Badges in Step 4 cannot be printed until the Board has received this list and any subsequent updates.

 

STEP 4 - You will be notified how to obtain ID badges once all criteria have been met.
